The Internet Task Force and our mission.
Internet Task Force
The Internet Task Force (ITF) is the volunteer technology division of The Mars Society. We build, maintain, and monitor the digital infrastructure that supports humanity's journey to Mars — from the main website and membership systems to MDRS crew reporting, MarsVR, Marspedia, and chapter websites around the world.
What We Do
- Maintain and monitor all Mars Society web properties and databases
- Develop new digital tools including MarsVR, mobile apps, and educational platforms
- Support MDRS operations with automated crew report monitoring and publishing
- Coordinate volunteer technologists across 14+ timezones
- Archive and produce video content from annual Mars Society Conventions
Get Involved
We're always looking for volunteers with skills in web development, DevOps, Unity/C#, 3D modeling, video editing, content writing, and more. Whether you can contribute a few hours a month or want to lead a project, there's a place for you.
